sad but true…
South of The Gambia on the border of Senegal, there are still landmines. I helped NSGA with some posters which are posted in the region. I believe two children were killed last year near the border.

I am a friend of your parents and so totally taken by your photographs and descriptions of your journey through Gambia as a Peace Corp volunteer. You mentioned calendars………could you still use more? What can we do to assist you and make your time in country easier for you and for the people with whom you come in contact? Would monetary assistance be helpful to you, or would it be better to send items (tell me what is needed) be a better idea? You will help me help make my goal that I feel Barack Obama threw out to us citizens. Reaching out to make ourselves, our nation and our world better…………Please tell me what would be the most useful and provide a mailing address!
Thank you for the service you are providing. Karen Schreifer
